You may have seen this video before or read the post elsewhere, but I’ve now set up my own face book page to promote my Ben Nevis Challenge and thought it best to explain things here as well.
I’ve already been knocked out by the the amount already pledged on my Virgin Money Giving donations page (there’s a link at the bottom of the page if you’d like to donate as well) and I’m feeling pretty confident that we’ll be able to reach and maybe even beat our target.
For those of you who don’t know me so well, I was a premmie baby, born three and a half months early, and spent my first 4 months in the Special Nursery in Aberdeen and this is why I support their charity.
I have cerebral palsy but have never let it hold me back from the things I really want to do in life, and after a couple of major operations on my leg these past 2 years, I am determined to realise my lifelong ambition and make it to the summit of Ben Nevis raising sponsorship for The Friends of the Special Nursery at the same time.
I realise this will be one of the toughest challenges I have ever tried to do but I have already started training and will keep you updated with my progress as time goes by.
Friends of the Special Nursery is a dedicated fund of ARCHIE, a charity registered in Scotland SC039521
